Giving, the pathway to unlimited growth

If you have created something, you understand the pain of releasing it unto the world. It could be a child, a gift, art, a product, a business, etc. Each of these things we could create inherently requires vulnerability, an element of uncertainty, behind which there is no guarantee it will survive the brutaltest of the world.

It is the test, and the overcoming, the vulnerability to release, the vulnerability of facing a challenge with the possibility of loss, that creates beauty.

It is the shadow that brings dimensions to the picture.

In the moment before release, you may question whether people will like it, or maybe you believe that it could be copied and used for another’s benefit. You may even be afraid to begin the act of creation out of fear that you’ll never produce something worth creating, worth releasing into the world.

This process, of course, is the act of creation.

The act of creation is the act of love

as it is our desire to create that stems from the understanding to know that we should dive deep into the stories of ourselves, and the courage to do so, in order to witness something of a breakthrough or the overcoming of a challenge to extract the story that helps us understand the world differently than we did before, to experience more of that which makes us feel loved.

Through this process, we create something we hope to be beautiful in the same way that we have experienced beautiful things that have inspired us. Maybe it’s a painting or a song, a poem, or a story, that touched a part of us or resembled an element of something we have gone through or are going through, which allows us to see the story as not isolated from reality, but something common to humanity, therefore provides us with a previously unknown strategy and courage to overcome the challenge, repeating the strategy that allowed for that artist to emerge from their form of terror into a better, greener, more abundant world.

But if we never try, we’ll never know how great that creation can be.

We would have never known of the masterpieces of Da Vinci, Bach, Mozart, Shakespeare, The Beatles, or the stories of David, Jesus. If they had kept their brilliance to themselves, the world would have never been inspired to change, to be greater, to emerge with the renewed courage given by their art. The artists, the bold, hold the answers.

I am currently building a Self-Activation Program and in the process of creating it, I asked for help reviewing it from a trusted confidant. When they looked at this program, they looked surprised and unsettled, and didn’t provide much feedback. I learned later on that they felt threatened by what I had produced, not because they didn’t believe in it, but because it held similarities to their program, their art.

Of course, I did not intend to, nor did I, copy their strategy, but there were similarities. As a part of the creative process and experiencing the world, we are all taking parts of things that inspire us, that heal us, and making it our own.

Artists copy all the time, but that’s not a sign of disrespect, but of honor. We see something beautiful and want to make it our own, in our own way. I didn’t want to disrespect this person, I wanted to honor them, by reflecting what has helped me for others to learn and grow with.

As I had grown from their vulnerability to share and invest their energy into me, they did not become lesser from the act of sharing, but greater. It is only because of them, amongst many others, them specifically, that has brought me to this place of greater awareness, without which I would still be struggling to understand my purpose, searching for the answers to myself.

Similar to my desire to pursue medicine due to the effort and inspiration I received from doctors who had helped me recover from my knee injuries in high school, I also wanted to pursue this particular route based on the inspiration received from going through their process. It worked, and I wanted not to hold it for myself, but to use what worked so that others may experience the same renewal, emergence of self.

From their perspective, however, which is the bulk of the purpose of this blog, the ego protecting and limiting energy flow, they felt as if I was stealing their precious commodity, as others have tried to do in the past.

The difference is that I don’t have the intention of stealing who they are for the sake of money, or to take away from who they are and limit their impact in the world. My intention is to propagate the love I received so that others may feel the same. It is my role on this earth to allow energy to flow through me, not to hold on to it. When we hold, we limit, we congest, we experience problems and confusion, and it limits how we experience the world.

As we create, the ego will speak up and tell you your masterpiece is not good enough to be released, that others will steal your product, that you must protect at all costs, otherwise you will lose who you are, and you’ll be just like everyone else.

Nothing is further from the truth. Nothing is more contradictory to the structure of reality.

By giving your creation into the world, against the ego’s violent demands, you shatter the metaphysical barrier between you and others, the outside world, and energy can flow forth from your vessel into the surrounding world, a river unleashed, spreading the underlying essence of what you share.

May what you share be full of light and love, not hidden with malicious intent.

It is the ego that says there is not enough in the world, that you must protect at all costs. It is the ego that says that beyond what you know, can see, is your death.

Good. Follow that path. Die of the ego and watch not your suffering persist, but your abundant life in love and infinity rise. Watch how your belief that you are any different than another fade away, and watch the love you feel for another by having given all that you are in that moment explode you into different realms of experience, where there is nothing but love encompassing all that you are.

When you give, you do not become lesser, but become greater. By releasing something that was a result of who you are in that moment, which is no doubt a painful struggle that many don’t have the patience, discipline, and determination to endure, you have become someone capable of producing beautiful things, full of love.

When you are both capable of producing things and fearless to release them for the world to enjoy, you are someone people look to for answers to their problems, unleashing the blind from their tyrannical cages, opening the world to become a brighter place to live.

By giving yourself and all that you have so that you can experience more of the most divine resource in the universe, love, how can you not experience infinite growth as a person, accumulating not physical resources, but spiritual gifts, sight, hearing, craft, art, creativity, spontaneity, discernment, understanding, wisdom, and courage.

This person is a person worth becoming, is what you are capable of becoming.

The moment you decide to give all that you are, in the face of what the ego fears is your death, is the moment you rise.

May you follow the darkened path, wherever it leads, to create, release, and experience true love in its truest form.

May you be a conduit for love.

May you give unto the world not for the sake of accumulating resources, but to see, feel, witness, and contribute to the infinite world of love around us, that needs you to play your role in the grand parade of life.

Thank you for your support.

Blessings to you and your family.

In Love,

David
